WORSHIP

As a congregation we always look forward to welcoming people to our Services of Worship and especially into the Christian family here in the community. Larbert West holds a traditional Service of Worship every Sunday Morning at 10:30am to which all are welcome.

Communion Services (both morning and evening) are conducted on four occasions in the year. Special afternoon communions for the elderly and housebound also take place three times a year. Home communion is available on request.

Our Bible Study Groups are informal, relaxed and not theological debates but open to all who want to explore their faith with others in conjunction with biblical topics that create an environment of sharing and fellowship. Dates are advertised in the weekly Pew Leaflet.

WEDDINGS & FUNERALS

As a Parish church we have a responsibility to provide pastoral care for those who live within our parish. We are happy to have parishioners enquire about weddings in the church or parish. Our Locum Minister will also assist anyone in the parish when there may be a need for a pastoral visit or even the sad occasion of a funeral.

JOINING THE CHURCH

Anyone who wishes to join our Congregation for a Service of Worship is most welcome and we look forward to having you with us. If you wish to join the membership of the congregation, we invite you to come to a Service of Worship and speak to the Minister or speak to one of the welcoming elders at the door who will be able to introduce you to the Minister. New member courses are periodically intimated giving opportunity to anyone who is seeking to discover more of the Christian faith to join the Church. We are very happy to hear from anyone who wishes to join the congregation either as a new believer or as a full communicant member from another congregation.

BAPTISM

Our belief is that Baptism is a Sacrament, not a naming ceremony, and so our policy is to adhere to the Church of Scotland regulations, but if a Baptism is not the answer, we may be able to offer a Service of Blessing and Thanksgiving for the new young life. In either case we invite you to speak to the Minister.

CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE

Children of all ages are catered for at Larbert West. Our Creche looks after infants up to the age of 3. Our Sunday Club provides activities for children of Nursery and Primary School age and Quest offers Christian fellowship to young people at High School. We also support the activities of the Larbert Churches Youth Trust whose two Schools Workers operate within Larbert High School and all its feeder Primary Schhols. Larbert West Parish Church is committed to the safety and wellbeing of every child in our care. This is demonstrated through our own Youth Policy and our adherence to the Church of Scotland's Safeguarding Policy.
